Resilient power for installations, bases and critical facilities

AEGIS builds lithium iron phosphate energy storage in San Diego for the facilities that cannot lose power. From an 18 kW building unit to a 4.8 MWh Power Container, every system is American-engineered, U.S.-assembled and sold direct by the manufacturer.

What AEGIS delivers

One product line covers a single building through an installation-scale microgrid. Each system ships as one locked pairing: battery, inverter and controls matched and set up at the factory, with Sentinel Pro monitoring and a 12-year warranty.

AEGIS Power Container: seven inverters and three load centers on the equipment wall

Built to order

Built for the mission

  • No single point of failure. The Power Container runs seven independent inverters and 25 independent battery strings, each with its own controller and contactors. A fault isolates one string; the other 24 carry the load.
  • Protection that never waits on software. Rapid shutdown is hardwired and fail-safe. Eight layers of protection, from cell-level monitoring and thermal imaging to aerosol suppression and explosion control.
  • Grid-tied, islanded or on generator. Load, grid and generator load centers with a transfer switch into the facility gear; 630 kVA of surge for motor starting. Generator integration with automatic start is an option.
  • Fast to field. Containers arrive with racks, cooling, fire protection and electrical gear installed; modules slide into place on site. Cross-driven spike anchors on existing pavement: no new foundation.
  • Hardened options. EMP shielding for the exterior equipment, solar canopy, 208 V transformer, maintenance package.
  • Turnover package. Operator training, O&M manual, emergency response plan, signage and a first-responder guide ship with every Power Container.

Standards and sourcing

Procurement reviewers need to know exactly what is inside and where it comes from. This is the full account, stated the same way on every AEGIS page.

Section 154, FY2024 NDAA

Cells disclosed on every quoteSection 154 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2024 bars the Department of Defense from using its funds to procure batteries produced by six named companies, including Hithium, beginning October 1, 2027. AEGIS states its cell source on every quote. If your procurement is subject to Section 154, tell us; we will tell you what we can deliver and when. The Sodium-IronX cell program is designed for manufacture in the United States.

AEGIS describes its products as American-engineered and U.S.-assembled, not "Made in USA": the cells and inverters are purchased, and we say so. Country-of-origin, certification and warranty documents are available with any quote.

More of the system, made here

The direction is more of each system designed and built by AEGIS in the United States, one layer at a time. Systems keep shipping on Hithium lithium iron phosphate cells and proven battery management hardware while each program is developed and qualified; nothing moves into production before it passes the same testing and certification as the hardware shipping today.

Monitoring and data

Sentinel Pro monitoring ships with every system and is written by AEGIS. Nothing in it depends on a third-party cloud to keep the batteries safe.

Runs at the site

Monitoring runs on a small computer at your site and keeps working when the internet is down. Data syncs to AEGIS when a connection is available.

Reporting to your policy

Off-site reporting is configured to the site's connectivity and data policy. Alerts can go to your operators, to AEGIS, or both.

Protection is hardwired

Rapid shutdown, string isolation and fire protection are independent of the network and of any software.

Every cell, visible

CellSight shows power flow and every cell's voltage and temperature, at the door on a 1,000-nit display and on any screen you permit.

Working with AEGIS

AEGIS is the manufacturer and sells direct. Quotes come from the engineers who design and assemble the system, usually within one business day, and every system is built to order. We work with your installation's engineering staff and your licensed electrical contractor from the first drawing to turnover.

Systems ship from San Diego to the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, the U.S. territories and U.S. installations abroad.
