Every channel, every measurement. No polling intervals, no sampling compromises, no "premium tier" gating. If it's electrically measurable at the CT, Sentinel Pro measures it and reports it.
True RMS Current
Calculated from the full waveform, not approximated from peak. Accurate for non-sinusoidal loads like VFDs, switching supplies, and LED drivers where traditional meters fail.
True RMS Voltage
Per-phase measurement with independent reference. Captures sags, swells, and transients down to 1-cycle resolution.
Active Power (W)
Real power — the kilowatts your utility actually bills you for. Signed, so reverse power flow (solar export, battery discharge) is visible immediately.
Reactive Power (VAR)
The power your inductive loads draw but do not consume. Critical for capacitor-bank sizing and understanding power factor penalties.
Apparent Power (VA)
Total vector magnitude. What your transformer and service conductors actually carry, regardless of phase angle.
Power Factor
Per-channel displacement + distortion PF. Commercial operators use this to avoid utility penalty tariffs. Industrial operators use it to size correction equipment.
Frequency
Live line frequency measurement per phase. Drift of more than 0.2 Hz is a reportable event. Useful for grid-forming inverter operators and off-grid sites.
Energy Totals (kWh)
Non-volatile cumulative energy totals per channel. Import and export totaled separately for net-metering customers.
Harmonic Distortion (THD)
FFT-based total harmonic distortion on voltage and current per channel. Diagnose failing power supplies and harmonic penalties before they damage equipment.
Individual Harmonics (1st–50th)
Full harmonic spectrum per channel. Identifies specific distortion sources — 3rd harmonic = switching loads, 5th/7th = VFDs, 11th/13th = rectifiers.
Demand Tracking
15-minute rolling demand per channel. Compute your own demand charges before the utility does. Test peak-shaving strategies without bill-shock experiments.
Event Capture
Configurable voltage-sag and over-current event capture with pre-trigger and post-trigger waveform buffers. Diagnose what caused the brownout without asking the utility.
