Built to order

Systems

When one building needs more than a cabinet: the Power Container for facilities and bases, the Mobile Welding Power Unit for jobsites, and containers in parallel for whole campuses.

Power Container

Built to order

4.8 MWh of lithium iron phosphate storage and 420 kW of 480 V three-phase power in one 43 ft high-cube container, built for the facility, not the substation.

How it works

  • Seven independent inverters (Sol-Ark 60K-3P-480V) share the load, mounted outside the battery room.
  • Twenty-five independent strings of twelve Shield HV modules, each with its own controller and contactors. If one string misbehaves, it is isolated and the other 24 keep carrying the load.
  • Three NEMA 3R load centers, for loads, grid and generator. Each container ties into the facility through its own transfer switch.
  • Grid-tied, off-grid or with a generator. 630 kVA of surge for 10 s for motor starting.

On site

  • Arrives ready. Racks, cooling, fire protection and electrical gear are installed; modules ship separately and slide into place on site.
  • No new foundation. Cross-driven spike anchors install on existing pavement for seismic restraint.
  • N+1 cooling and filtered air. Two wall-mount A/C units and MERV 8 + 13 filtration under positive pressure.
  • Status at the door. A 21.5 in, 1,000-nit display shows charge, power flow, temperatures and alarms.

Eight layers of protection

Engineered so that no single failure becomes an event. The shutdown is hardwired and fail-safe, so protection never waits on software or a network.

  1. MonitoringEvery cell's voltage and temperature, around the clock, with active balancing.
  2. Thermal imagingSix thermal cameras watch every tower face; infrared windows on the load centers.
  3. Off-gas detectionSensors catch cell vapor before smoke, backed by smoke and heat detectors.
  4. Rapid shutdownStrings open, inverters stop and mains trip in about 2 seconds.
  5. Fire separationTwo layers of 5/8 in Type X line the room, and Type X separates every tier.
  6. SuppressionSix total-flooding aerosol units protect the battery room. No water, no piping.
  7. Explosion controlPowered exhaust clears gas; four roof vent panels release pressure upward.
  8. Seismic anchoringCross-driven spike anchors on existing pavement. No new foundation.

Each Power Container

NRTL field evaluation through IntertekDesign basis: NFPA 855, 68, 69, 70 and 72.

Need more? Add containers

Each container is a complete power plant with its own inverters, load centers and transfer switch into the facility's main gear. Every container runs independently, so one can be serviced while the rest keep running.

Storage is sized to the job. Tell us the welders and tools you run and the hours you need.

Welding at 480 V

Three-phase power for welders on the trailer, where the work is.

Jobsite power

Tools, lighting and site trailers on the same 480 V service.

Same technology

The Sol-Ark 60K and the high-voltage LFP technology used across the AEGIS commercial line.

Monitored

Sentinel Pro tracks charge and alerts while the unit is in the field.
